the six-sided-ness of snow...

the country has been looking white and beautiful (if treacherous) these past few weeks....spent a lovely few days in Lewes crunching through the snow and generally having an excuse to behave like a kid for an extended period....great fun!

wish you were here

wish i was there, wish it was summer, wish the sun was shining.  i do love the snow but equally i'm looking forward to summer and these postcards by Gillian Bates make me wish it would come sooner.

back from another trip to see the genius and lovely Neil Bass from Tattoo-fx in Burgess Hill to accompany a friend getting an old and unloved tattoo transformed into a bright and beautiful one.  was showing off my recently acquired iPhone (having previously sworn allegiance to Blackberry 4ever) and Neil recommended the "Tattoo of the Day" app from New York based tattoo studio New York Adorned- its a great little app and the tattoos are always fantastic with all the info about where they are from and by whom, etc.  particularly like this one...
