like a good and dutiful subject [ahem] i've purchased my two royal wedding [anarchistic] memorabilia items already - so they'd better not ditch at the altar.  i received delivery of the brilliant Carrie Reichardt's mug from her etsy shop yesterday and have been waiting with baited breath for the commemorative plates from KK outlet to go on sale and just nabbed one before they all go.  nice.

despite the media hoopla - we are not all that bovvered about the upcoming royal nuptials between Wills & Kate - the best thing will be the day off.  love that fab KK outlet have come up with some hilarious commemorative plates - available in January at the store - as seen via The London Design Festival.

perfect pitcher

aren't these Russel Wright water pitcher's gorgeous (spotted via sfgirlbybaby) the colours are lovely and the shape...sublime.  too bad these online versions are sold out and the only others i can find are on sale via US based ebay...def one to look out for on future visits over the pond....really beautiful.

beautiful bone china

just back from a delicious cosy brunch at 8 station terrace with my lovely brother - spending some quality time catching up over Eggs Royale (me) and Full English (him) and coffee.  he also had a birthday present to hand over and as ever (he has great taste) he didn't disappoint as he gave me a beautiful bone china "drip tease in gold" teapot by reiko kaneko...far too delicate and lovely to stain with actual tea!  he's bought me a mug and cute doggie xmas decoration from her before so am  building up quite a collection.  bless him, he knows what i like - so it will now take pride of place on display in Sam's (already bursting at the seams) Emporium of Wonders & Toys.

 

i adore these amazing ceramic sculptures of delicate lady zombies cradling heads and entrails by jessica harrison spotted via craftzine.  oh how i would love to have one on my mantlepiece...if i had one...but i'd find somewhere suitable to display it.

have just discovered little jane st via finders keepers and i really want some of these cute little ceramic magnets. read Alarna Zinn's blog here to find out more about this gorgeous boutique stationery and textile studio and her (Brisbane - i think?!) based shop which she has just opened.  another great Australian discovery!
