 i think i've found the perfect residence for my future pooch - the gorgeous pei pod (spotted via design crush) - just need to decide on mint or pink...oh...and the dog!  and just when i think it can't get any better - i spot this fabulously stylish home for chickens...the nogg- if mattressland wasn't overflowing with naughty [and hungry for hens] foxes i'd so want one of these in my garden.

i love these dog leashes spotted via doggie blog phetched - they look like old school ties, but groovier.  they come with a detachable pouch for money/keys/poo bags and there are matching collars.  i'm tempted to get one even tho i don't have a dog....yet!

my friend Emma's lovely dog Bunny has just had pups (they are Cairn/Norfolk Terrier cross).  i think its time for me to get my longed for four-legged pal!  last night i had a strange dream - i found a lump on my neck, found myself falling in rivers a lot and had a wee dog called cookie-monster.  lets hope only one of those comes true...the last one obv!

sadly, i didn't get [what i wanted most of all] a puppy for christmas...sob...maybe at some point this year i will be able to manage my life, work and home so that i can share some doggy love....otherwise i shall feel rather peeved...like so...

 

having had a dog (the wonderful Boo, a crazy black Heinz 57 pooch) in this flat, and with a 9-5 job, i wouldn't want to leave another one on its own for so long...so i know that things need to change before i can welcome another four-legged friend into my life...but as soon as i do...i know i will be immeasurably happier.

i just love Hawk the dog ....check out the adventures of this little suburban dog via this blog here  and get original paintings, prints and softies here...what a gorgeous little scamp.

"Longing for a canine companion but short on space and walkies time?"...YUP!  then these knitted doggies could be the answer!  Best in Show by Sally Muir and Jo Osborne contains 25 different patterns to knit your very own pooch.  Both authors will be at the Knit & Stitch show, Alexandra Palace from October 7-10 but in the meantime if you feel like knitting your own Jack Russell the pattern is available here.  I'm definitely gonna have a go.

popped out for a little bike ride today and spotted a couple of foxy foxes...not sure who they are by...hopefully not just some new viral marketing for estate agents Foxtons!  also stopped for a cuppa at Harvist Tearoom and had a chat with the lovely german waitress about our love for our bikes as she was admiring Onbie with all its new bike accessories that i purchased in my favourite dutch winkel HEMA at the weekend in Brussells. and later i spotted this little cutie................woof!

a week in the cotswolds

just back from house-sitting in the Cotswolds.  friend's were away to Italy for a few days and needed someone to look after their newly arrived puppies so myself, Jo and her two delicious offspring Zoe and Zaki, volunteered with gusto.

the puppies were a delight and we had a blast...despite the torrential downpours...which at one point caused a powercut.  the weather didn't stop us making the most of our holiday though and we even went swimming in the rain at the local outdoor Lido.

as we so rarely get to spend time together we decided it would be fun to have a birthday party...for all of us...and proceeded to make it fancy dress - with hilarious results!  we had piles of pressies, a pinata in the garden, games and forfeits (some particularly disgusting...like eating vomit and bogey flavoured jellybeans and licking dog bones...brilliant!).

it really was a great deal of fun and my only wish is that we could have stayed longer...and the sun had shone!

one day i will have a little doggie...and he/she will need a little basket to sit in on my bike...this looks just the ticket...or is it just a little prison-like?!!
