my dog tulip

i had not heard of this till i read about it on a cup of jo and now i've seen the trailer i really want to see the film - but not sure how or where to find it.  from the novel My Dog Tulip by J R Ackerley this animated piece tells the tale of a curmudgeonly old English gentleman's friendship with a german shepherd called Tulip....and loving dogs, i can totally relate.  it looks like a very sweet story and the animation is indeed beautiful.

the needle and the damage done

my lovely mate Ed just got approval from Jack White (& label) for use of the track to his neat little stop motion animation to Laura Marling's JW produced Neil Young cover...it is totally awesome.  he had been sending me photos of the set up and shoot and had just been waiting for tho go ahead before i was free to pimp it out to the world - go watch on youtube, give him the thumbs up and hopefully he will get some commissioned work out of it.  of course...i did point out that the only thing missing OBVIOUSLY is a mattress...he tried, they couldn't get it to work...i won't hold it against him - its great as it is (tho i'm a little concerned, in my professional capacity, about the dirty needle!).
