love-locked

 
apparently this practice began in Hungary in the 80s - sweethearts affix padlocks to a fence to symbolize their love.  a custom which has now carried to Paris as reported by la flaneuse in her blog (photos courtesy of aforementioned blogger).  sweet.

to paris....for a stuffing

i'd like to be in the city of love...for a different kind of stuffing...as i'm dying to visit the amazing looking Deyrolle to see some of these specimens, spotted on wee birdy , slightly creepy...but nevertheless ever so slightly beautiful...
Founded in 1831 by Jean-Baptiste Deyrolle, the Parisian boutique has been located at 46 rue du Bac (the former home of Louis XIV’s banker) since 1888 - with a passion for natural history, Deyrolle houses fantastic collections of “curiosities.

must check out this new restaurant in Paris (25-27 rue de Buci, 6th Arrondissement) with amazing sculpture by Xavier Veilhan...can we have a seat by the left foot please...
