thames tunnel
the Thames Tunnel, which is the only project both Marc and Isambard Kingdom Brunel worked on together, is an an underwater tunnel built beneath the River Thames connecting Rotherhithe and Wapping (1823-1843). after 145 years and for two days only (12th + 13th March 2010) the Thames Tunnel Fancy Fair is back with the star attraction being walks through the tunnel (pre-booked tickets only through the london transport museum). see the brunel museum for more info.
