royal gems

at a loose end around Kings Cross, maybe a few hours to kill before your Eurostar train leaves?  pop down to this great little cafe drink, shop & do at No9 Caledonian Road (spotted via india knight). everything inside is for sale: designer crafts, tea sets, furniture...as well as tea, cakes and cocktails!  they also hold "crafty evenings" which include knitting (on a tuesday) and seasonal specials like the upcoming pumpkin-carving events. sounds right up my alley - i can't wait to visit.
also nearby and well worth a visit is the Camley Street Natural Park - a nature reserve in the middle of London (slap bang behind St Pancras beside the Regents Canal) habitat for birds, butterflies, amphibians - a great little hidden gem in the city.
of course failing that...you could always just sit at the St Pancras Grand Champagne Bar and quaff shampoo to your heart's content....just don't forget your £££££££!
