film at somerset house

last night we went to see the wonderful New York city love-fest that is Woody Allen's 1979 Manhattan  as part of somerset house's summer screen sessions - fantastic.
we packed up a picnic blanket, some cushions and nibbles and hunkered down for the evening (marred only by a few brief showers) and then it was a mad dash to Euston station on our bicycles to catch the last train home.

tomorrow night a bunch of us are back again to see the bizarre but brilliant crazy-nun-fest that is Powell & Pressburger's 1947 Black Narcissus....can't wait!
